"I was just talking with my mother a few moments ago. She's here for mother's day and we haven't seen each other for a half a year.
She wanted to come for a family wedding, but I'm the only one that has room for her seven dogs.
Last visit went south and I couldn't control my temper. I also have post covid brain. I had covid bad. On the floor, in and out of consciousness bad. Run to the hospital.... Is she dying?
One day, I was rummaging through Amazon looking for the magic bean because I'm a supplement junkie. Hey... I've found amazing stuff that have become part of my regimen on need basis. Open my supplement drawer and I've got a cure for everything.
I found bacopa. Bought it and started using it for a day and completely forgot about it because "take before food".... Well. Let's just laugh at my expense, ok?
I started school recently. At 49. A female. Ugh. Post covid brain x meno brain. What was I thinking? But I was determined. A fast talking, elderly, mixed words Englishman teacher a very hard law course and sitting. NOT a good combo on top of my personal self.
I went on looking for anything in my arsenal and bacopa lit my sun. First day of school when I got home. Took it immediately and the very next morning as well. I noticed something. A little bit of clarity. But too soon to tell.
Back to my mom.
Here we were, talking about onion and grey hair. I said I eat onions but they don't get rid of my grey hair. She said yes they do, you don't have grey hair. I said yes I do! We had an argument for a split moment and then I VERY quickly remembered the bacopa. I jumped up, stood on the sofa and looked in the mirror. I had no grey hair.
I was a kid! I went from mirror to mirror searching frantically for grey hair. I had none!
So my older son was just walking out the door for work and we all exchanged a few words and he said... Oh yeah... You're streaks of grey are gone!y mom asked if I had streaks???? And he said oh yeah... She had streaks of grey all through her hair. But now they're gone!
And I want to mention, my mother is very stressful to be around. Very. She has to have her seven dogs and they're all that matters and she's bitter and vindictive. And not once have I lost it. And I always lose it around her. Always. Everyone does. My mom lives alone in the desert because nobody can handle her.
But I'm here to say.... I can handle my mother. I truly believe it's the bacopa.
As far as my school, I've been able to remember abbreviations and years and statutes. Pretty good stuff.
